Patrick Flynn, Co-Founder of West Coast Group Benefits retired in 2023. Patrick was an expert in employee benefits from the smallest group of 2 employees up to groups with 1,000+ employees. His knowledge of the various insurance markets, including fully insured and self-insured plans made him one of the premier brokers in our industry. His clients relied on his perseverance when it came to doing what was best for them. For Patrick, the client's needs were the most important thing to him. He passed on these same principles to the staff who continue to manage the book of business he built over the past 40 years.
Phil Piel founded West Coast Group Benefits with Patrick Flynn. Phil passed away in 2010. Phil was a consultant specializing in Employee Benefit programs for Trade Contractors. He was a recognized expert in prevailing wage employee benefit plans for non-union contractors and had conducted prevailing wage seminars for a number of construction associations including the Associated General Contactor's, Associated Builders & Contactor's, and the American Subcontractors Association.
